The Approach
Montgomery County is unique when it comes to support for the Israeli genocide. Like other States, our Maryland federal representatives have a choice about giving tax dollars to programs or military initiatives that contribute to Israel’s genocide. But in Montgomery County, both our state and local elected officials face similar voting decisions, specifically whether to give our tax dollars to the Maryland-Israel Development Center (see videos on this site).
We reached out to candidates and asked them provide their position on the following:
Federal Representatives (Congressional candidates)
Will you support HR3565 Block the Bombs legislation?
Will you support HR876 Recognizing the genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza. | Congress.gov | Library of Congress?
Will you commit to refusing campaign donations or lobbying support from organizations/individuals tied to the Hindu nationalist movement?
State Representatives (Governor, Delegates and State Senators)
Do you support ending taxpayer funding to the Maryland Israel Development Center (MIDC)?

County Representatives (County Executive and County Council)
